I am a freelance writer and amateur photographer, a highly sensitive individual who was born in the wrong century. Why? Because my leisure pursuits include so many old-fashioned activities: I love to read, cook, sew, paint, garden, and observe the natural world (plants, animals, birds, and weather). Having always been frugal, and recognizing the real value of simple things, I like to create funtional and/or decorative items for my home and yard, especially with natural or low cost materials. Imagination, creativity, and empathy are ever present in my psyche and this blog is an effort to share my thoughts and creations, and especially to present my writing to a discerning audience.
