Today is not just April Fool's Day, it is also Scout's birthday. He is now twenty-six years old and if the stable wasn't so far away, we would go treat him with a few carrots. This photo was taken several years ago, when both Rissy and Scoutie were quite a bit younger. Rissy lived for the infrequent days when, in her pink cowgirl boots, she was allowed to groom or ride - then the stable yard became her utopia - looks like it might have been Scoutie's too!
